Built from the Ground Up

Ahearn Equipment started in 1977 behind Tim and Donna Ahearn’s home in North Brookfield.

At the time, it wasn’t a dealership. It was a truck, a set of tools and a reputation for fixing things the right way. From the beginning, the goal was simple: do honest work and stand behind it.

That approach is still what drives everything we do today.

Growing the Right Way

What started as mobile repair quickly turned into something more. As word spread, the business expanded into equipment sales, adding early lines like White Farm Equipment and Yanmar.

By the late 1980s, Ahearn Equipment had outgrown its original location and moved to Spencer, where it still operates today. Around the same time, a new partnership with Kubota helped shape the future of the business — focusing on equipment that delivered real value and long-term reliability.

Adapting to What Our Customers Need

Ahearn Equipment continued to evolve — adding parts support, expanding service capabilities and focusing on the equipment customers relied on most. As Tim and Donna’s sons, Jeremy and Josh, joined the business, that growth continued with a stronger focus on compact construction equipment and overall jobsite solutions.

The goal stayed the same: help customers find the right equipment and keep it working.

Expanding the Business - Not the Mindset

As demand grew, so did Ahearn

Facility expansions added more service space, more parts inventory and the ability to support larger equipment. That meant faster turnaround times, better availability and a stronger ability to support customers across New England.

In 2021, Ahearn Equipment opened a second location in Hudson, New Hampshire and expanded into larger construction equipment through a partnership with SANY. This allowed the business to support a wider range of contractors while continuing to invest in mobile service and on-site support.

Where we are today

Today, Ahearn Equipment serves customers across New England with two locations, a growing mobile service fleet and a full lineup of equipment, parts and service support.

Our most recent partnership with Hyundai in New Hampshire has allowed us to offer an even wider range of construction equipment.

But the core hasn’t changed. We’re still focused on doing the job right, answering the phone, and helping customers make the right call the first time.
